Description:
Music by Biagio Marini (1597-1665) musician in St Mark's Venice, performed by Corde - an ensemble of 13 Swedish early baroque specialists. The ensemble specialises in early baroque music from the time of Monteverdi to around 1700. The group aims to achieve a rhetorical mode of playing based on the highly advanced art of improvisation of the Renaissance.
