Description:
This portrait CD by guitarist David Härenstam wants to give a picture of the music that has been most frequently during his constant touring worldwide over the last 15 years. It gives of course also an idea of the music that is closest to his heart. This album is an attempt to reflect the feeling of a solo concert. The crystal-clear sound is recorded during four days in Sct. Peder's Church in the Danish town of Slagelse and with the natural sound of the church caught by the producer and sound engineer Leif Hesselberg.
Famous virtuoso works by Niccolò Paganini, Manuel de Falla, Leo Brouwer and Mauro Giuliani are mixed with newly written pieces by Staffan Storm, Atanas Ourkouzounov and Maria Löfberg. New music that on this CD gets their premier recording. The booklet contains initiated specially written texts about the music by John Mills, Tilman Hoppstock, Raphaella Smits, Jason Vieaux, Stefan Östersjö and Jonas Nordberg.
